Primary Implants: Primary knee joint implants are designed for patients who are undergoing knee replacement surgery for the first time. These implants are typically used in cases where the knee joint has been damaged due to osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or severe trauma and requires replacement. Features: Simpler and less invasive design, suitable for patients with good bone quality, and long-term stable performance.
Artificial Knee Joint (Total Knee Prosthesis)
In cases where extensive destruction and advanced arthritis have occurred in the knee joint and do not respond to clinical and conservative treatment methods such as weight loss, painkillers, physiotherapy, and drug injections, etc., knee joint replacement surgery is performed to restore the patient's daily activities. Knee replacement has two types: fixed and mobile, which enables the surgeon to choose according to the condition of the injury.
Knee prostheses are secured in the implantation site by means of a special type of bone cement or its simple model by friction. (Uncemented or Cemented Replacement). The artificial knee joint consists of Stem, Patella, Femur, Tibial, and Insert prostheses, in which the Insert prosthesis is made of polyethylene with very high molecular weight (UHWPE) and the other parts are made of cobalt-chrome and titanium compounds.

Revision Implants: Revision implants are used when a primary implant has failed; for example: loosening or fracture of the primary implant, infection at the site of the artificial joint, bone resorption, or mechanical instability. Features: More complex and stronger design, with additional components for greater stabilization, suitable for revision surgeries and weaker bone conditions.

The Hinged Knee System is an advanced and specialized solution for the reconstruction of complex knees. Its design is optimized for revision surgeries, i.e., the replacement of previously operated knees or knees with severe bone damage and bone loss. The hinge, with its special motion mechanism, provides precise control of the knee’s lateral and anteroposterior movements and creates exceptional stability, allowing the joint to maintain natural and smooth motion even in complex conditions and after multiple surgeries.
The main components of the system include the Hinged Femoral and Tibial components, Patellar implant, bone reconstruction parts, and a set of advanced screws and fixtures, each precisely engineered to provide mechanical stability, complete anatomical compatibility, and long-term durability for the patient. The hinge design reduces stress on the joint, preserves smooth and natural knee movements, and allows easy reconstruction of extensive bone defects.
The use of highly biocompatible and resistant materials in the Hinged System ensures long-term durability of the joint and minimizes the possibility of complications. The anatomical and specific design of the system’s components creates complete harmony with the natural structure of the knee and makes the surgical procedure simpler and more reliable for surgeons. The final result is precise and stable reconstruction of the joint, preservation of natural knee movement, and a significant increase in patients’ motor independence, so that their quality of life in performing daily activities is tangibly improved.
