The goal of knee joint replacement is to help the patient regain the ability to perform daily activities. Knee replacement surgery has two types: fixed (fixed-bearing) and mobile (mobile-bearing) designs. This allows the orthopedic surgeon to choose the most appropriate implant type based on the patient’s specific condition and the extent of the injury.
